Writing a song a day challenge

Writing a song a day challenge

I pretty much have a song playing in the back of mind all day every day. I think it could be the best rock song of all time. It starts all mellow and breaks out into this heavy thumping rocking explosion in several places.

First it Giveth — Queens of the Stone Age. It has this incredible driving rhythm going that is just like nectar to me right now. To me it sounds delicious. Again, probably played this at least 20 times in the last week.

Putting together a play list of awesome songs and records with a solid rhythm section if you want to send some recommendations my way, FYI. About a week or so ago, this came on in a movie I was watching and since then I have had it on repeat constantly. Cherry Bomb — The Runaways.

Really excellent rock song. Drinkin Problem — Midland. Yes, this is a country song. And I absolutely love it. Quality recording that captures the sad, mellow nature of the song perfectly.

Also pretty much on a constant loop. Let It Go — Def Leppard. To really enjoy this song, turn it up loud and pour a shot of whiskey. Hell, drink whiskey straight out of the bottle. Explosivo — Tenacious D.

Tenacious D is hysterical. I love the way they riff off metal and hard rock culture — and their songs are not only great to listen to they are funny as hell. Ziggy Stardust — David Bowie.

A gem by a musical genius. One of my all time favorites. Unchained — Van Halen. Pretty much starts out strong and stays strong all the way through. Come on Dave — Gimme a break. One break — coming up! Nice heavy, bassey, sludgey goodness.

Came across these guys randomly about a month ago. I like stoner metal. I like pudgy guys.

I found their recordings and listened. I was not disappointed. This track rocks pretty hard. If you name your record International House of Mancakes, I pretty much have to buy it.Struggling To Commit To Your Daily Writing Habit?
